Schools will be able to buy the UK’s cheapest PC from next week.
For just £35, NComputing will offer a client access device for schoolchildren comprising a PC access device, monitor, keyboard and mouse.
The company has developed an "access terminal" (hardware and software) that allows any low-cost Windows or Linux desktop PC to be shared simultaneously with more than 30 users.

The users are able to access a full desktop PC functionality, according to NComputing. By harnessing the untapped power of existing PCs, thousands of schools and businesses all over the world have reduced their computing costs as well as minimising their environmental impact, the company said.
NComputing has already sold the product in more than 70 countries including the US, Thailand, Turkey, the Philippines, India and it is being piloted in the UK. Along with its use in schools NComputing’s devices have been deployed in the public sector and call centres.
