Unipart and SSA join forces to offer supply chain products

Unipart and SSA Global are joining forces to offer companies advanced supply chain management services.

SSA is a provider of enterprise business software and services, and Unipart is a leading European logistics company.

The partners will initially aim their solutions at UK companies and eventually expand their operation internationally.

John Neill, Unipart group chief executive, said, “Through joint research and development and a combined focus on innovation we can allow our clients to receive immediate operational improvements, and generate a greater return from their IT infrastructure.”

The Unipart Group grew out of the car industry. In recent years it has expanded its operations and now services a range of industries, providing logistics planning and support for companies including Airbus, Boots and Argos.

Unipart said the combined offering would be central to the Unipart Group’s Advanced Logistics Centre, located at the company’s Oxford headquarters.

SSA’s software covers areas including enterprise resource planning, financial management, human resources, corporate performance management, customer relationship management, product lifecycle management and supply chain management.
