Kenai Systems has released the web services eXamineXT vulnerability assessment tool for enterprise users.

Kenai said the tool makes its easier for firms to build, test, and implement secure and reliable web services.

eXamineXT incorporates automated testing, enabling software developers with no security training to test web services for known security vulnerabilities.

The solution also tests web services for compliance with enterprises’ organisational security policies.

eXamineXT ships with over 20 security test profiles to address particular web services vulnerabilities and can receive additional profiles as they are issued by Kenai.

eXamineXT includes support for SOAP, MIME and DIME formats and comes with a point-and-click GUI.
