Enterprise applications market records robust growth: IDC

The enterprise applications market has registered steady growth recently, especially in the APEJ region. Find out what this growth can be attributed to.

The research firm IDC has predicted a robust growth in the enterprise applications (EA) software market in the Asia/Pacific excluding Japan (APEJ) region.

According to IDC, APEJ enterprise applications market recorded a 13.4% growth in the second half of 2010 as compared to 2009 and is expected to further grow at an annual growth rate of 13.74% by 2015. The key growth areas as pointed out by IDC include new media, mobility, and SaaS.

According to Sabharinath Bala, research manager of IDC’s Asia/Pacific enterprise application software, the growth in the enterprise applications market can be attributed to the “need for optimized business processes, better marketing, customer relationship, and executive decision making.”

With the key focus of the study being on the incorporation of analytical appliances into enterprise applications, the EA market has allowed access to essential information and thereby makes real-time helpful conclusions as well as quicker ROI, states the firm.
