HDS makes services a formality

HDS has hired four new staffers and given its storage services operation the status of a "Practice".

Hitachi Data Systems has "formalised" its services operations into a new "Business Consulting Practice for Australia and New Zealand."

The new team offers "strategic planning and operational best practices" across five areas: Data Lifecycle Management (DLM); Storage Economics; Service Management; Consolidation and Virtualisation; and Business Continuity and Risk.

Michael Cunningham will lead the new Practice in a new role, Director of Consulting and Solutions in Australia and New Zealand.

The Practice has also hired four new team members that the company says has a combined nine decades of relevant experience.

"Our new consulting practice confirms our role as a strategic business partner to our customers [and] ... we will continue to work with organisations across ANZ to assist them in achieving the highest level of return on their storage investment," Cunningham said.
