Hilton outsources software development to Accenture

Hotel group Hilton Worldwide has signed up Accenture on a multi-year agreement to provide application development.

The contract covers support services for Hilton's property management systems and multi-brand, transactional websites covering more than 3,600 hotels worldwide. As part of the agreement, Accenture will also support Hilton Worldwide with a global service desk for the company's hotels.

The contract will be run from Accenture's global delivery network in collaboration with business technology services provider Avanade, which is majority owned by Accenture.
