Farmers Insurance Exchange (FIE) has signed a multi-year deal with technology provider Symbility Solutions to use its workflow software tools to manage property claims.

About 600 field adjusters at Zurich Financial Services Group-owned Farmers Insurance Exchange, will use the system alongside office-based claims handlers in FIE's Michigan head office. The first phase of the Symbility implementation will be complete by the end of November 2010.

"Ease of use, data control and seamless integration with our enterprise systems were key reasons for moving to Symbility," said Jim Daues, senior vice-president at FIE.
