Addison Lee to use BI to analyse taxi fleet

London minicab firm Addison Lee has signed a deal with IT services company Maxima to develop business intelligence (BI) software to improve its operational management.

Based on SAP BusinessObjects Edge technology, Maxima will provide real-time information via dashboards to help executive and operational managers to analyse performance issues around the company's 3,000-strong fleet of taxis.

"Maxima is working closely with the team at Addison Lee to implement SAP BusinessObjects Edge, and provide access to key features such as ad-hoc, interactive and self-service reports as well as web analytics," said Maxima CEO Graham Kingsmill.

"We're supporting them with the deployment of role-specific business intelligent dashboards, and will also provide them with full consultancy, training and support services."

Account teams and sales management staff at Addison Lee will also use the software to monitor performance levels for its 10,000 corporate account customers, said the firm.

Maxima will begin the development of the business intelligence software for the capital's largest taxi firm at the end of September.
