Enterprise content player Box is cutting the ribbon on a partner portal that it is hoping will provide greater levels of support for its channel across EMEA.
The portal itself is meant to speed up access that partners can have to the vendor, which will reduce the time it takes for the deal registration process and for resellers to track their paperwork.
The web platform will also provide access to Box University, with the training materials that resellers can use to incease their product knowledge, as well as other marketing tools that can be used in channel campaigns.
Aside from the tools and online streamlining that is on offer the point that Box is looking to empphasise is that the portal shows a real intent to increase support for partners.
“Working effectively with channel partners is important for our growth, and adding support with our new Partner Portal is a key step to strengthening our relationships and building a robust partner network,” said David Benjamin, SVP and GM of EMEA, at Box.
He said it was not only providing additional support for partners but would also be looking to build a "robust programme in the [EMEA] region".
The vendor is hoping that the channel in the UK can help it gain more of a foothold in the enterprise content management market, which it belives offers a strong prospect in the mid-market.
The portal launch has been accompanied by the announcement that Ben Threlfall has been brought on as senior director of partner and alliances in EMEA to focus on giving support to resellers.
“There is tremendous potential to expand our business through partners in Europe,” said Threlfall “The extended partner network in Europe will enable us to gain traction in new verticals and deliver our modern content platform to even more businesses.”
