Cloud Distribution has started the year with a double signing as it looks to continue on the momentum it built up in 2015 and ramp up its ability to support resellers selling VDI solutions.
The security and networking specialist has been consistently adding to its vendor roster with a series of relationships that are designed to add options to resellers looking to build a solution that will appeal to customers looking for more than just a point product.
Last year saw the channel player ink deals with Check Point, Vectra Networks and Netskope as it looked to add some depth to its key focus areas.
In a move that will keep things going Cloud Distribution has signed Gridstore and Unidesk to gove it access to a player in hyper converged flash infrastructure and a Windows virtualisation provider.
The double signing is designed to help those resellers are looking for technology to underpin virtual desktop infrastructure projects.
Bruce Hockin, director of storage solutions at Cloud Distribution, said that the Gridstore and Unidesk offerings were complementary and could help resellers tap into a VDI market that presented a good revenue opportunity.
"There's rapid growth in this space right now and this joint vendor partnership signing will provide our channel partners the industry-leading solutions they demand to enable incremental sales and services revenues," he said.
The response from the vendors was agreement that the distributor could play a role in knitting together a solution.

This unified solution provides an optimised platform and framework that delivers a true turnkey VDI experience,” said Andy Hill, vp sales, Emea, Gridstore.
“Now with Cloud Distribution who know well the storage and virtualisation market, we can bring this disruptive solution to the UK market," he added.
The response from Roger Baskerville, regional director, Emea, Unidesk, was in a similar vein, giving him the chance to talk about how along with an attractive price point the unified technology was also easy for the user to understand.
“Our level of integration [with Cloud Distribution] is already very close, with them effectively becoming our channel and allowing us to focus on customer growth," he said.
Although there are clear benefits from combining the Gridstore and Unidesk technology resellers will also have the option to sell the individual products.
