The deal will see Colt’s services, service level agreements and extensive network and datacentre assets underpin Insight’s own cloud offering.
It will include IP VPN access, colocation, vCloud and cloud storage, as well as Colt’s Ceano services portfolio. Insight said it hoped to benefit more from ongoing revenue streams and deeper customer relationships as a result.
“Insight chose to partner with Colt because of its capability, credibility and resources to deliver services to meet the needs of our entire customer base from start-ups and SMEs to the world’s largest corporations,” said Justin Griffiths, VP product management, cloud & e-commerce for EMEA at Insight Enterprises.
“It was important for us to find a partner that offered flexible terms and on-demand services, while at the same time having the capability and scale to support enterprise operations.”
