Avnet Technology Solutions has launched its CloudEnhance channel programme in the UK, promising to help resellers and managed service providers begin to address opportunities around unstructured data management.

Programme participants will get access to a wide portfolio of secure, service-based archiving solutions to help customers reduce costs, simplify IT and minimise risk.
The distie said it would also use its own position in the channel in order to bring more service providers and business partners together to address increased cloud opportunities.
It hopes that resellers without the means to offer a managed service will be able to broaden their offering to end users alongside MSPs.
Avnet believes the market for archiving-as-a-service has been largely untapped up to now, particularly in distributed and un-virtualised environments, and claimed its solution set – which includes file tiering, file serving, email archiving, Microsoft SharePoint tiering and file sync and sharing, as well as some vertical specific solutions – will help the channel build a “safe and secure platform for customers looking to tackle governance and security concerns”.
It plans to make its solution set available through commercially attractive pricing models such as usage-based fees, payable per gigabyte per month. Practical support from Avnet will include critical business planning, such as assistance with creating joint vendor and vertical market propositions, access to data for market and trend analysis, technical and marketing expertise and access to its demo centre in Bracknell.
