Meraki’s solutions cover a wide-ranging swathe of the networking market, including wireless, switching, security, WAN optimisation and mobile device management, and Cisco is keen to exploit its capabilities in the cloud to help partners lever midmarket cloud networking opportunities, worth as much as $5bn (£3.1bn).
Core features of Meraki’s portfolio include single dashboard network management; total control of users, apps and devices; secure compliant infrastructure; and extreme scalability to up to a million users.
Like Cisco, Comstor has also been expanding its own cloud-based offerings for resellers, and has recently added X-IO in EMEA, as well as PeakColo and collab9 in the North American theatre.
Comstor executive VP of EMEA Andreas Dohmen said the addition of Meraki to its portfolio reflected the coming of age of the cloud, to some extent.
“As the market’s only Cisco-dedicated distributor, Comstor is providing new ways for resellers and customers to grow their business with Meraki,” he said.
