The vendor is looking to get partners behind its T5 and M5 servers with specific specialisations that should help them target the entry level customer base.
In addition Oracle has announced that it will hand its distributors the option to provide discount on Sparc T5 models that can be used as demo equipment and resellers are also eligible for rebates.
To support its ongoing push into the entry level server market Oracle has promised partners that it will drive the marketing and provide resources that should generate customer leads.
“Oracle’s new Sparc servers offer new levels of performance and scalability that allow partners to drive further value to customers managing critical application workloads -- from Cloud deployments to large database and business analytics projects,” said Judson Althoff, senior vice president, Worldwide Alliances and Channels, Oracle.
He added that through the resources of the Oracle Partner Network resellers had the chance to put some muscle behind the server sales pitch and take a better total cost of ownership message out to smaller customers.
