VIP Computers is merging its business operations with Realtime Distribution after a review concluded the peripherals and components distributors would be a stronger force in the market as a single entity.

VIP acquired Realtime back in 2006 and the two operations, based in Warrington and Huntingdon respectively, have been running with their own branding and management up to now.
But given the market conditions and the need to secure a stronger business footing in the future the decision has been made to combine the two entities.
Both offices will remain running but the management will be shuffled with Richard Marsden becoming sales director and Duncan McAuley becoming purchasing director for the combined operation.
Mark Reed, managing director of Realtime Distribution, will leave the business early next year and the firm will be re branded VIP Computers.
Jatti Sahni, chairman of VIP Computers, said that it would become a stronger components distributor as a result of the merger.
"Moving forward we will gain more vendors to support our combined strong customer base; and in turn our customers will be offered with a wider range of vendors, products and support services," he said.
