Apple Premium Reseller Square Group has bought into the audio-visual market with the purchase of sector specialist, Digital Vision AV.

acquisitionThe Apple partner, which operates out of six sites in the UK and has annual sales of about £27m, focuses extensively on the education and hospitality sectors and wants to speed up its own expansion into the audio-visual market.

Digital Vision has been going since the early ‘90s and specialises in projection, video-conferencing and digital signage sales. It is itself an Apple partner, and also works with Logitech video division LifeSize, among others.

Square CEO Darren King said that with AV product gaining more traction in business markets, the firm had recognised a need to spearhead a drive into the sector.

“By bringing Digital Vision into the Group, it strengthens our overall solution offerings for all IT and AV requirements,” he said.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
