One of the founding members of one of the most long standing resellers, Anglia Business Solutions, has died after a short illness.

David Hurley, who will be known by many in the channel, helped set up Anglia in 1981 and had been running the company for the last 15 years.

Hurley was instrumental in developing the direction of the company and the LINKfresh solution, which allowed it to become a strong player in the UK fresh food industry.

He died at the weekend after a short illness. He was aged 64.

Speaking on behalf of the board, Robert Frost, said that the news had come as a great shock and Hurley would be sorely missed.

"We are committed to continuing the strategy which the company is following to deliver LINKfresh to the fresh food market. The thoughts and condolences of all of David's friends and colleagues at Anglia Business Solutions are with his family at this difficult time."
