D-Link is expecting a restructure to enable it to provide resellers with greater focus and support as it seperates its wide portfolio and bolsters the business-to-business operations.

The vendor has split its business into four operations - consumer, business, distribution and technical - in a move designed to make clearer lines between the different products and market segments.
Andrew Mulholland, marketing manager at D-Link UK & Ireland, said that the changes, which follow on from the departure of former UK managing director Chris Davies, who left the firm last autumn, would benefit its channel partners.
"We are going to be a lot more focused than we were before," he added that its technical support team would also help the channel with issues that they or their customers faced.
He added that the restructure had now brought the UK into line with a European structure that would provide it with greater chances of running programmes across the UK and the continent.
Mulholland said that further changes were planned around the services it offers partners and it would be beefing up its activities over the course of the next few months.
