IP telephony outfit snom has signed a distribution agreement to supply its IP phones and PBX solutions through BT Business Direct, the telco's hardware, software and services business.

Daryl Platt, b2b director at BT Business Direct, which is currently in the process of being folded into a £400 business that will also consist of reseller BT Engage and consumer e-tailer dabs.com, said the signing would help the firm capitalise on growing interest in IP telephony solutions among end-users.

Added snom UK managing director, Jonathan Greenwood: "It is a great opportunity to offer our products through one of the UK's largest comms providers.

"This is a big step forward for snom, and recognition of the strength of our product portfolio," he said.

The firm will also be offering its Certified Engineer courses to the reseller channel through BT's SCE programme.
