The former channel head at Dell has popped up within just a couple of days of his departure from the PC giant, being confirmed in a role driving corporate and commercial business at Hitachi Data Systems.

Paul Harrison has been handed a newly created role at HDS, which he takes up from the start of next month, tasked with discovering opportunities with large enterprise and commercial clients.
As UK new business regional sales director Harrison will report to Darren Barker, UK & Ireland sales director. Until earlier this week he had been seen as a Dell man, having spent eleven years with the company.
Stephen Ball, regional vice president and general manager at HDS UK, said that the hire showed it was ambitious and committed to growth.
"We have already established a very strong management team at HDS and Paul's wealth of knowledge of the partner community and the technology industry, together with his exemplary track record, will be a fantastic addition," he said.
