Services and outsourcing outfit CSC has made a series of hires to boost its growth ambitions, key among them the appointment of former Fujitsu cloud services boss Jon Green as vice president of Global Business Services for the UK, Nordics and Netherlands.

Green, who has also served as Fujitsu's UK sales and marketing head and IBM EMEA BPO sales director, will take control of growing CSC's strategic partner network, among other things.

"Jon's appointment heralds the next stage of development for CSC's consulting business," said CSC northern Europe president Andy Williams.

Green added: "My vision is to use consulting to deliver added value to clients and become their trusted services provider, but also create solutions to their challenges by growing our strategic partner network.

"The new approach will be a major catalyst for growth and will be focusing on key industries and solution areas such as SaaS, cloud, mobility and security," he said.

Meanwhile, seven new key salespeople have also joined the firm's UK sales force to help CSC take advantage of demand for cloud and security services.

Among the new hires are former HP managed services specialist Jyoti Ball and ex-Computacenter financial services exec Matt Browne.
