Microsoft is improving the incentives it offers partners to encourage more to sell cloud and virtualistion.
Using its worldwide partner conference as the platform to announce the changes the vendor unveiled enhanced incentives for those selling Azure and virtualistion.

The extension of rewards to cover specific product areas is a slight departure for Microsoft but one that is seen as crucial in supporting growth.
Janet Gibbons, director of partner strategy and programmes at Microsoft, told MicroScope that the rewards would drive more resellers to sell cloud.
She said the additional schemes would run in parallel with existing reward and rebate programmes.
At its partner event the vendor talked of putting $5.8bn investment into partner programmes with training and incentives on offer.
We are bringing our partners to the cloud with us, they can use the tools and skills they have now to take their clients to the cloud," said Jon Roskil, corporate vice president of the worldwide partner group at Microsoft.
