Vickers left Canon at the start of last year after spending five years at the Japanese copier giant, where he had originally been brought into run the vendor's channel before he was promoted up to the country manager role.
Vickers said that his main ambition was to grow the business, which operated globally through 45 different countries, and take advantage changing attitudes towards refurbished kit.
"There is an interesting agenda around refurbished IT kit," he said referring to a recent government white paper that encouraged the public sector to use more refurbished products.
He added that it only sold through the channel and it was his experience at both Canon and HP that put him in an ideal position to bring an insight into that side of the business.
