Easynet boss heads to BE Broadband

Recently-launched wholesale ISP BE Broadband - which is backed by O2 - has appointed the former head of SME provider Easynet Connect, Chris Stening, as its new managing director. Recently-launched wholesale ISP BE Broadband - which is backed by O2 - has appointed the former head of SME provider Easynet Connect, Chris Stening, as its new managing director.

Stening will take charge of maintaining the firm's vision and public face, as well as strategy planning for its key consumer and B2B markets.

"BE has an excellent reputation in the market and I look forward to working with our head of wholesale, Dan Cunliffe, to develop our wholesale business," said Stening. "Our network [is] truly built for business applications such as cloud, VoIP or HD video conferencing."

BE already claims to be able to directly reach over 70% of mainland UK businesses over its ADSL 2+ network,
