Application delivery networking specialist Blue Coat has made a series of tweaks to its Channel Advantage Programme to boost sales and ROI on its WAN optimisation gear.

Among the enhancements are a WAN Optimisation Partner designation designed to deliver higher margins to partners that jump through the right hoops.

Partners attaining the certification will receive deal registration discounts and additional benefits, support and training.

In addition, Blue Coat has added a Fast Start set-up programme, a Try-and-Buy programme will simplify the evaluation process and "reward partners that successfully convert evaluations into sales", said the vendor, and new training resources through its Blue Coat University.

Blue Coat vice president of worldwide channel sales, Jim Harold, said: "As the market demands more sophisticated solutions we want to empower the channel to successfully sell the full capabilities of Blue Coat."
