Best Buy has pledged to start offering web sales in an effort to compete with UK rivals that already offer that service.
Just days before Carphone Warehouse announces its latest financial results, which will reveal how its involvement with Best Buy has been going, the retailer has indicated it will offer web sales by the middle of the month.
Best Buy has five stores across the UK but the expansion of the US giant across this side of the pond has been a bit stop start with the initial plans for the launch being pushed back from 2009 to earlier this year. But the web move will tighten the screws on the likes of Dixons and Comet.
There are also plans for more stores to be opened this year with Derby following an opening in Croydon last week.
There are also plans to open outlets in Hayes, Rotherham and Enfield next year bringing the total number of stores to nine.
