KCom has today confirmed that as part of a cost-cutting drive, 150 services staff will lose thier jobs across its managed services and contact centre business.

At the end of last month, the group said it planned to cut in excess of 100 positions across Affiniti, Smart421 and JAM IP after posting results for the nine months to 31 December that saw revenues fall 10%.
One employee at the firm told MicroScope: "150 positions will be cut across Affiniti, Smart and Jam IP. Those impacted will be told today [Monday]."
MicroScope understands the affected members of staff were placed at risk of redundancy and asked to reapply for their positions last Thursday.
In a statement, KCom said: "As we announced at the end of January, in light of ongoing economic uncertainty, we are undertaking a headcount reduction within our Affiniti business. We have now informed all those employees who may be affected by this process and will shortly be starting a period of consultation with them."
Affiniti forms KCom's converged comms services unit, while Smart 421 provides managed business integration services and Jam IP specialises in IP contact centre solutions.
