In their first public outing since becoming joint CEOs of SAP Bill McDermott and Jim Hagemann Snabe have set out their ambitions for the software giant.

In an appearance at CeBIT the recently installed leaders of SAP spoke of returning to double digit growth and reinvigorating its customer base and regaining to competitive edge on its rivals Oracle and salesforce.com.

The company has been the focus of attention since it parted with its last CEO Leo Apotheker last month ending his seven month reign at the helm but according to reports in the FT the current bosses are optimistic they can improve the situation.

The current mood at SAP has been set by Hasso Plattner, co-founder of the vendor and chairman of its supervisory board, who revealed that when it parted with Apotheker it recognised it had made mistakes and those had damaged its position with resellers and customers.
