Network security specialist Bradford Networks has signed a deal with Hampshire-based VAD Siracom as it moves to develop a two-tier channel distribution model for the first time in the UK, writes Linda Endersby.

Siracom, a specialist in networking technologies, will focus on Bradford's Network Sentry platform, and network access control (NAC) solutions.
The distributor, with training and accreditation from Bradford, will skill up the top 20 of its 200 resellers to become tier one systems integrators and will deliver consultancy, inplementation and integration services as well as post sales support.
Scott Tyson, channel manager EMEA for Bradford, said: "We're delighted to be working with Siracom and will be providing them with all the support they need to get up and running from day one."
"But we expect them to do the heavy lifting," Tyson continued, "and with Siracom's pedigree and longevity in the networking market, we know we have a highly technical and experienced team and access to hundreds of other resources via their reseller network."
As a distributor for wi-fi specialist Meru Networks, an existing Bradford partner, Siracom resellers can offer a comprehensive solution to organisations looking to manage their WLANs and mobile device security.
"We're seeing a huge take up of Wifi at the moment," says Siracom's Managing Director, David Thompson. "We're seeing lots of opportunities in new markets like healthcare, warehousing, logistics and enterprises."
