Oki's newly appointed UK sales director Nick Munton is planning to shake-up its managed print services (MPS) product lines.
Copier market veteran Munton joins from Konica Minolta where he was regional commercial manager and fills a role that has been vacant since previous incumbent Bill Allan left last year.

"Oki does have an MPS proposition but its relatively simplistic and not necessarily scalable at the moment. If we are to be truly successful in it we probably need to look at the architecture," he told MicroScope.
The strategy is to redesign the scheme "from the base up" and take it out to resellers next year.
Rivals printer vendor Brother and Lexmark are also getting prepared to launch MPS for print dealers as customers continue to express interest in shifting to a more transparent procurement model.
