SCC has beaten off rivals to renew a four year pan-public sector framework agreement with Buying Solutions.

Previously HMRC were the contracting authority for Sprint ii but it has been passed across to Buying Solutions, the public sector's largest professional procurement agency.

Unlike the recently finalised CITHS framework, Sprint ii allows publicly funded bodies to buy hardware, software, infrastructure and services from SCC without going through individual tenders.

Tracey Westall, SCC director responsible for public sector sales, pointed out the exclusivity of Sprint ii in statement sent to MicroScope.

"We are now the only UK technology company to have been awarded sole supplier framework agreement," she said.

Under the terms of the deal, which kicked off on 16 March, SCC has agreed cost plus pricing on the range of products and services for sale.

"SCC will play a key role in helping the public sector to buy a wide range of products and services quickly and easily," said Robert Macleod, Buying Solutions project manager for Sprint ii.
