The appointment follows on the heels of the signing of Samsung’s voice and data division and indicates a push by Wick Hill into the networking infrastructure security market.
Just as with the Samsung appointment the distributor has been charged with taking the NetGear ProSecure range out to the SME market along with the rest of the vendor’s networking range.
Ian Kilpatrick, chairman of Wick Hill, said that the ProSecure range took NetGear into the security market and made a requirement for a distributor that understands selling into that space.
“We have worked with NetGear previously in Germany and have an in-depth understanding of its products,” he said.
Mark Power, UK managing director at NetGear, said that it had signed up Wick Hill to support its aim of growing sales of its security range.
