Key skills - Configuration, CMDB, ITIL, Release, software, service delivery
A brand new opportunity has arisen for my client based in the Bournemouth area. We are looking for an experienced Software Configuration and Asset Analyst, ideally with previous experience or working knowledge within an ITIL service environment.
The role is to enable the successful operation of the Configuration and Asset Management teams by assisting with the execution of ITIL focused processes and procedures and taking ownership of day to day tasks.
You shall also assist with managing the configuration management database (CMDB) tool set, to accurately control the DSL (Definitive software library) and the hardware store across the business. Exposure to CMDB in a previous role is going to be very relevant.
The role will involve working closely with other teams, to ensure continuous service improvement in relation to all processes. Occasionally you will work with the Release Management team to facilitate the delivery of code from development in to production for applications across the business.
We are looking for a candidate with significant experience of producing service models, and experience in administering software configuration and control systems. This will be part of your day to day duties, so is key to the role. Ideally you will have material experience in a number of software configuration management tools, and experience of a CMDB.
We are looking for a candidate with experience administering software configuration and control systems on a day to day basis, have worked with a CMDB, and understand ITIL or be certified to ITIL level.
