A challenging role as head of your department, to impact across multiple business areas and affect the bottom line profitability of the organisation. This role will drive value in the provision of highly specialist systems and applications to multiple operational business units through further merger and integration of disparate company systems. 
Key delivery metrics will be the increase in process efficiency enabled within Business Units as a result of better service provision, innovative technology and effective, best fit technical solutions. To deliver your brief you will have several small teams to manage including business analysts, systems developers, application support specialists and project management resource. Further, this role will liaise with, support and work in conjunction with IT Service Delivery and Group IT Systems functions as well as specialist external 3rd party applications providers. Reporting to the IT Director, this is an opportunity to lead Business Systems strategy and policies as well as to influence the broader company-wide IT direction. 
To be considered for this role you will have broad IT management experience covering the full life-cycle provision of continuously improved systems and applications. Experience of working in structured environments and to standardised methodologies across project management, governance, business analysis, development, go live, and support phases is essential. 
As an individual you will have the drive and focus to prioritise competing requirements, manage multiple stakeholders, network and influence across the business as well as the determination to hit your functional delivery objectives. Strong line management skills are also a must as well as educational credentials at degree level plus (or equivalent).
