Hardware Hoarders

We've been asking our readers to show off the IT hardware they're hoarding, whether at home or in the office.

In round one, which ran from December 2007 to January 2008, we featured readers' oldest kit, and explored their reasons for keeping their IT antiques. We received over 70 entries, but the winners were Eric Jukes and Puncher from Stoke. Our nostalgic IT hardware gallery remains online in Flickr for your browsing pleasure.

Round two, which ran through February 2008, focused on small but impressive IT equipment. The winners were Jane Williams, for her range of small kit photos posted to our Flickr group, and Neil Dawson, for his sweeping cinematic video ode to Dymo, recorded on a mobile phone, which you can view in our video gallery below, along with the other video entries from both rounds. A third round will launch later this year, with another chance to win.

In the meantime, you can still add photos to our Flickr group and upload videos to our video gallery, although at present the only prize up for grabs is the prestige of possible publication here on ComputerWeekly.com and the envy of your peers in the UK IT industry when faced with your handsome hardware. Tips, tricks, and inspiration from earlier rounds are still available on the photo and video competition pages.

Please note, by submitting any content to our group or gallery, you will be deemed to have accepted our full terms and conditions, and bear in mind that we do reserve the right to vet and remove entries to ensure the content remains suitable for a wide audience!
