Video: Google releases Android cupcake update for G1

The download of the Google G1 Android cupcake update is now available. The update has new features and various bug fixes.

The update features varous bug fixes but the most interesting features are video recording as well as playback and Bluetooth stereo support.

The update also has new browser features, such as copy/paste and quick search, and a full on-screen QWERTY keyboard.

Features included in the Google G1 Android cupcake update:

  • Bluetooth support is updated adding in A2DP & AVRCP profiles.
  • Camera functionality is upgraded to allow video recording
  • Bug fixes and improvements
  • Being able to save MMS attachments
  • Email support gets a few fixes, as does the application installer system
  • Faster display of animations
  • In-browser copy-and-paste and search functions
  • Web browsing is faster
  • Improved JavaScript support
