The Register is carrying an entertaining story about Ireland's most prolific traffic offender - a Pole called "Prawo Jazdy" who had clocked up 50 speeding fines and parking tickets without ever being convicted. The true nature of the offences came to light when a quick-witted Garda operative realised that "Prawo Jazdy" is Polish for "Driving License". It would appear that the EU driving license carries the words at the top of the card, and that officers have assumed that to be the holder's name rather than a description of what the card is.
