I want answers, damnit...

I am exceptionally intrigued about reports of the Wolfram Alpha which surfaced today. Calling itself a Computational Knowledge Engine - itself a deliciously Victorian/Steampunk like title, it's premise is also equally delicious: Wolfram Alpha will compute the answer to any specific question. Let's make this absolutely clear - it doesn't give you a list of places where you can find the answer, it actually answers your query.

The more you think about it, in terms of the semantic web - this is exciting and provocative stuff.

The project goes live in May. I for one, will be watching very closely - and want to be entranced.
