Can IT be used to curb the spread of Swine Flu?

NHS Direct has been using the internet to distibute information about Swine Flu in a bid to prevent spread of the virus.

Today it will open up a call centre to enable people who think they have caught the virus to get a medical diagnosis over the telephone from a call centre operator and receive a prescription. It is basically a CRM system for prescribing Tamiflu remotely.
