Windows Live: Has MS turned a new leaf?

Cliff Saran

Windows Live will talk to Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and other popular social networking and picture sharing sites. This must be a first for Microsoft. For over a decade the company has attempted to go its own way on the internet. I have an MSN account but rarely use it because I also need Facebook and Flickr access.

The demo yesterday was quite amazing. From Windows Live, you can now see what your Facebook friends are up to, who's been Twittering, who has uploaded new pctures... Perhaps Micrrosoft is finally acknowledging that the internet is about sharing and linking.
