Web 2.0 - A Curate's Egg

We've discussed Web 2.0 technologies like blogs, wikis, podcasts, information tagging and social networks at length but just how valuable are they in the corporate realm? McKinsey research shows it's about 50-50%.

The problem seems to be the high degree of participation they require to be effective and, like this blog, need users to generate new information and content.

With organisations needing more than ever to tap into their "cognitive surplus" these participatory tools offer an even bet for finding it. Check out the article.
