If internet bandwidth is your arterial system, keep a weather eye on your ISP and hosting company. 

If their regular income comes under pressure through competition or as companies start to fold and go off line, lights will start to go out in datacenter racks all over the world. So stress test the reliability of your web presence, find the weakest link in the connectivity chain and check out their viability - now's the time to make sure you have Plan B.
