No sooner did Ian White’s posting about SaaS appear on this blog than a whole heap of info about it pops up in my inbox. This article about Contracts is worth a gander. An analogy Ian once used about software licensing is that it's like getting a bit of toilet roll stuck on your shoe; you can pull the whole roll out and it follows you down the street without you noticing. Having been in charge of the purchasing, renewal and maintenance costs for an enterprise - it's a fair description!
