Carol Bartz is to be named new CEO of Yahoo

I don't have any details or confirmation but the Wall Street Journal broke this about an hour or so ago and it seems that it will be confirmed.

Former Autodesk CEO Carol Bartz has apparently accepted the offer, says the WSJ. More to come on this I'm sure as things get firmed up.

TechCrunch is asking whether its a good thing?
