Credit crunch is taking the bite out of IT

Everyone thought the IT industry would be immune from the credit crunch and recession, if it came. (Well it feels as though it has well and truly arrived to me!)

Yesterday a succession of stories was enough to persuade me that this slowdown will be far reaching and pervasive. It may that the IT industry weathers the storm better than it has in the past, but I can't believe anyone know believes it will be immune.

Events yesterday were enough to persuade me that IT will definitely be affected:

eBay slashes 10% of its workforce in response to slowing sales


Accenture to cut hundreds of jobs
