Bandwith in the hands of YouTube

GarnerJ
I was at an online new media conference yesterday where I learnt a few interesting facts:

If you're worried about the world's bandwith disappearing then blame YouTube. Did you know that YouTube uses 10% of the world's internet bandwith, has 350 million customers worldwide and has 13 hours of video uploaded onto it everyday.

Another interesting fact is that LinkedIn has 25 million members and it's growing fast. Interestingly its head of Europe, Kevin Ayres, was asked how do you monetize communities and replied he didn't want to over-monetize anything. So he really is operating a different business model!

(P.s. RBI also won a few awards in the evening too, inlcuding online business publisher of the year).
