Travel agents & tour operators spend £1,000 per employee on telecom services. This is twice the UK norm. Smaller travel business concerns outlay is around £1,400 which is twice the expenditure of corresponding large companies.
The very smallest printing companies dedicate almost £500 per employee on telecom services. This is the highest amount across all sizes. It mirrors the situation for all UK companies although the tiniest concerns spend nearly £700.
Large telecommunications firms typically outlay £90m each on telecom services which are used for their own business purposes. They constitute the highest spending sector among large organisations. Next in line are information services companies with half that commitment with banking & finance institutions close behind.
Civil engineering companies with 1000+ staff spend almost £2m each on telecom services. This is 70% more than corresponding outlay by buildings construction concerns and over twice as much as specialised construction firms.

Civil engineering companies typically spend £400 per employee on telecom services, falling well short of the all UK average of £600. For organisations employing 1000+ staff civil engineers have half the outlay of the UK norm. It is only the smallest concerns that exceed the national value.
Telecom services spend by the banking & finance sector swamps the outlay by all UK organisations. Depending on the size of the organisation it can be up to a factor of 10. Banking & finance companies employing under 50 staff devote almost £6,000 per employee whilst the largest invest £3,500.
Post & courier organisations with 1000+ staff spend only £80 per employee on telecom services. Smaller sized concerns have outlays considerably larger with companies employing 50-99 staff expending nearly £1,200 per worker.
The public administration spends around £400 per employee on telecom services. For all UK organisations the value is 50% higher. The pattern across size of organisation shows a notably larger difference with smaller enterprises.
