There's been another "muurrderr" and computer systems won't save you

Police authorities in Scotland are still using systems that date back to the 1970s.

The Scottish Police Authority and Police Scotland have chosen Accenture to support a new system they are implementing to link up operations and make them more efficient.

Downtime thinks Scottish Police should tread very carefully when thinking about the replacement of core legacy systems dating back 30 years. In fact the rest of the UK could probably benefit from the wider roll-out of Taggart. The police should forget all this computerisation.

I mean you don’t have to link systems and share information to beat crime. You just need Taggart.taggart.JPG
