Bob Lewis

Bob Lewis is an associate director within the investigations and assurance practice of The Risk Advisory Group.

Prior to this he served as an operational team leader within both the Serious and Organised Crime Agency (SOCA) and its precursor agency the National Hi-Tech Crime Unit (NHTCU), part of the National Crime Squad of England & Wales.

During his time with the Royal Air Force (RAF) as an RAF police officer, Bob was involved in the investigation of serious crimes and major incidents in various overseas jurisdictions and theatres of operation, including mainland United Kingdom, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Bosnia, Kosovo and South America. It was here that he specialised in all aspects of Counter Intelligence operations with particular emphasis on computer forensics and security work.

Bob has led a team of internationally renowned investigators since 2002 and specialises in providing a forensic overview of investigations. He also ensures that the IT aspects common to all investigations are not overlooked in today's ever-changing communications-led industry.

He has accrued a wealth of experience in serious and organised crime as senior investigation officer responsible for several global investigations. He has extensive experience of working with foreign and domestic law enforcement bodies and their respective prosecution agencies in countries as diverse as Russia and Malaysia.

A qualified IT auditor he has conducted numerous audits of government installations and commercial premises. He has also provided IT security advice and guidance for organisations upgrading their IT infrastructure in order to meet governmental security guidelines.

In June 2005, whilst serving with the NHTCU, Bob was awarded the MBE for his services to global investigations.
