The Consumer Electronics Show kicks off on 8 January 2009, with companies like Microsoft, Sony and Asus, among others, set to show the world their latest high tech offerings for the home and on the road. Microsoft chairman Steve Ballmer has announced the availability of the first public beta of Windows 7 during his opening keynote. Sony unveiled the Cyber-shot C510 camera phone, which includes a 3.2 megapixel camera with Face Detection technology and direct connections to Snapfish for printing and to YouTube for upload videos straight to the web.
